SATURDAY, JULY 3
11:00am-MYSTERIES OF THE MOUNDS- Stroll into our prehistoric past on this easy hike. Learn the who, when, how, and why the mounds were built. VCP
1:00pm-4:00pm-BRONNENBERG HOUSE OPEN – Tour this important 1840’s home.
2:00pm- “EARIE CANAL” BENCH – Let’s walk down to the river and sit at this unique bench. Discover who made it and why, and what’s with the shape? VCP
7:30pm - ANIMALS DO THE GROSSIEST THINGS – We all know there are animals that can run fast and fly high, but did you know there are some animals that excel at being gross? Join us for this fun hike. Meet behind Campground Showers.
SUNDAY, JULY 4“INDEPENDENCE DAY!”
11:00am – SKULLS AND SKINS – If you saw bones and fur on the trail, could you identify the animal? After this program, you should be able to. Get a close-up look at teeth, skulls, and furs from animals that call Mounds State Park home. VC
1:00pm-4:00pm-BRONNENBERG HOUSE OPEN – Tour this important 1840’s home.
2:00pm-SUN CATCHERS- Come learn about some of the animals that need to catch some sunrays to survive. Then, make your very own sun catcher to take home and place in your window. VC

7:00pm- FRIENDS OF MOUNDS STATE PARK - Get involved and see what the park is planning next! Join a committee, attend a program, or just make some new friends! Refreshments provided. VC

11:00am- WEB-SLINGERS- Discover ways spiders use their webs and create your own spider web. VC
1:00pm-4:00pm-BRONNENBERG HOUSE OPEN – Tour this important 1840’s home.
2:00pm- BUTTERFLY GARDEN TOUR – Get a guided tour of the butterfly garden and all it’s beautiful flowers. Search for critters that call this place home too. Butterfly Garden near the Pool House.
3:00pm-POOL BREAK- Join the naturalist in the snack area for a fun activity! POOL

2:00pm-MONARCH MADNESS – Discover the amazing journey this butterfly takes to reach Indiana. We’ll look around the garden to find caterpillars and adults. Butterfly Garden near the Pool House.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 13 TO FRIDAY JULY 16
WILDERNESS DAY CAMP!
This four-day camp has been specifically designed for children ages 11 to 13. Participants will get to experience the woods and waters of Mounds State park. The fee for this program is $45.00 per child for the entire camp. Space is limited and you must register by 5:00pm on July 9th. Call the Interpretive
Center Office at (765) 649-8128.

2:00pm- ANIMAL TRACKS- Who’s been walking through the forest or your backyard? Make your very own animal track guide that will help you find out. VC
8:30pm- BAT BONANZA - “They’ll get in my hair!” Learn the truth and the myths about bats by playing some fun games and activities. Then we’ll get to see some live bats up-close and personal. VCP

2:00pm-BOX TURTLE BLUES – Ever wonder why you don’t see many box turtles in the wild? Join us for a turtle talk and walk, and learn about their struggles. VCP

12:30pm- DISCOVER, CONNECT, EXPLORE! - The Hoosier Quest Series offers individuals and families the opportunity to earn patches, bandannas, pins, and other items - all while enjoying nature and culture at Indiana's state parks and reservoirs! After the 15 minute introduction to the program, you'll have the option to stay longer and complete a couple of the requirements. VC
1:00pm-4:00pm-BRONNENBERG HOUSE OPEN – Tour this important 1840’s home.
2:30pm- SNAKE CENTRAL – Discover what snakes are found in Central Indiana. Get up close and personal during this live animal program. VC

1:00pm-4:00pm-BRONNENBERG HOUSE OPEN – Tour this important 1840’s home.
2:00pm – WALKING STICK WORKSHOP - Workshop fee: $5/person. A walking stick can aid you in hiking - it takes pressure off your knees and back, and it can help you keep balance on uneven ground. Walking sticks can be works of art too. During this workshop, we’ll have different methods of design for all ages (only older participants will be allowed to carve with a knife.) Pre-registration is required.
8:00pm-FROG TALK – Learn the language of frogs on this short and easy fun hike. Make sure to bring your calling voices. Meet Behind Campground Showers.

Indiana's second smallest State Park, it has some of the best preserved mounds in the state built by prehistoric Adena & Hopewell people. Also offers camping, trails, picnic areas, Visitors Center, Naturalist activities, swimming, fishing & just relaxing.
