Anderson Speedway is nationally recognized for the annual Pay Less Little 500 each Memorial Day weekend. 33 sprint cars start in 11 colorful rows of three in this annual 500-lap test of man and machine the night before the Indianapolis 500. The Little 500 trophy is a prize cherished by race drivers worldwide. In addition to the weekly divisions of Street Stocks, Figure 8s, Legends and stock cars, Anderson Speedway plays host to several national sanctioning bodies. In 1998, Anderson Speedway was awarded the USAC Promoter of the Year Award and in 1999 received the National Speed Sport News Short Track Event of the Year Award for the Pay Less Little 500. Anderson Speedway prides itself in providing good, wholesome family entertainment at a reasonable cost. Fans of all ages fill the track at each event. Racing runs from April to October each Saturday night and each Friday night from May through August.
