The Anderson/Madison County Visitors and Convention Bureau has an opening for the Executive Director position.
This position will oversee a budget of $500,000, and direct a staff of three full-time employees and one part-time employee. This individual will have proven experience in sales, marketing, developing and managing budgets; developing and implementing strategic planning and marketing plans; and have extensive knowledge of the destination industry. They will be required to work collaboratively with key community leaders and industry partners. This position reports directly to the Board of Directors.
Required: At least 5 years of senior management experience in the destination industry; proven leadership and communications skills; have a proven ability to form strong relationships with industry partners and key stakeholders. Must be able to travel and will be required to work non-traditional hours at times.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business, public administration, marketing, public relations, economics, or related field or equivalent experience; knowledge of industry related software technology; CDME and PDM certifications.
